I am the director of career services at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.
Before my present job, I was freelance writer for National Geographic and other outlets, as well as an adjunct professor at American University.
My most recent digital jobs include Al Jazeera America, The Huffington Post and AOL News. I spent most of my career, 24 years, at USA TODAY, covering national news, the Pentagon, presidential and congressional politics, Capitol Hill, foreign affairs and business. I've reported from 47 states and more than two dozen countries and split my time between Brooklyn and Washington, DC.
